There's very little about a mini fridge that's attractive other than its convenient size and extremely low price tag. Even so, some models have a distinctly higher-end feel than others. The Danby DCR88BLDD is a mini fridge that looks and feels like an upgrade from the one-door model of your college years, but with dreadful moisture retention.

Introduction

Just because you're in the market for a mini fridge doesn't meant you can't look for something with a little class. The Danby DCR88BLDD, which retails for roughly $246 on average, is a single door mini fridge that looks and feels sleeker than a really basic model. Certain retailers such as Wal-Mart sell this thing for just $149, which puts it right in the middle of the average price range for a model of this type despite its slightly superior feel. True, there were some fairly prominent temperature consistency issues, but nothing egregious compared to an average mini fridge. It's fairly energy efficient, and the tall shelf layout allows for relatively flexible storage. If you need a small, portable fridge and want something that's just a little more polished than a basic mini like you used back in your college days, give the Danby a closer look.
