The $2,999 DCS RF195AUUX1 is a fantastic product with performance that absolutely justifies its high price tag. The largest jewel in this fridge's crown is its amazing moisture retention—the best we've seen—which is backed by strong temperature consistency, solid energy efficiency, and a very attractive interior design.

Introduction

The DCS RF195AUUX1 is a truly remarkable fridge. We don't normally open with such blunt statements, but in this case it just happens to be true. DCS is a brand made by Fisher & Paykel, and this particular model is truly a noteworthy achievement on their part. It's a $3,199 counter-depth fridge, so it's definitely one of the more expensive products we've tested. For the record, almost every retailer we checked is selling it for $2,999—it's not a huge price drop, but every little bit helps. You're probably asking why it would be worth spending that kind of money on a refrigerator. Well, we can say with confidence that this product has remarkable performance ratings, a stylish design, and fairly high energy efficiency ratings. Other the boxy external handles—which may very well appeal to some—there's really very little about this product that's not excellent.
